DESCRIPTION:Trail Description: Take an enjoyable fall walk on the Sassafras Trail\, led by Westford Conservation Trust Director Gerry DiBello. The trail is a bit rugged and steep in places. Wear sturdy footwear appropriate to the weather. We will stop by the glacial erratics known as “House” and “Barn” during the walk. Bring hiking poles if you like. Walk is free of charge and no sign-up is required. Sociable dogs on a leash are welcome. \nLocation & Parking: Parking at the end of Sawmill Road at the Sassafras Trailhead (near 18 Sawmill Rd if using GPS). Directions: Take North Hill Rd off of Tyngsboro Rd. Turn right onto Hidden Valley Rd. then take left onto Sawmill Rd to trailhead at end of road.

Kids in grades K–4 are invited to join us at Sheep Hill for a 5-day adventure exploring how animals greet the spring season! \n When: Monday\, April 20\, 2026 – April 24\, 2026\, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM\n Where: Sheep Hill\, 671 Cold Spring Road\, Williamstown\, MA 01267 \nRegistration opens for members the week after Thanksgiving\, 2025. Registration for non-members\, if there are spots\, will open in mid-December. \nThis is an all-weather program\, and kids will enjoy outdoor activities rain\, snow\, or shine. However\, Williamstown Rural Lands reserves the right to delay or cancel programming if weather conditions are deemed unsafe. A light snack will be provided daily. Please plan to pack lunch for your camper. \nFinancial Aid\nFinancial aid is available to families who demonstrate a need\, offered on a first-come\, first-serve rolling basis.
