DESCRIPTION:Friends of Minute Man National Park \nThursday\, May 11\, 2023 \n8:00 a.m. ‚Äì 10:00 a.m. \nMinute Man National Historical Park \nFree\, registration is required \nJoin the Friends of Minute Man National Park for a spring bird walk! For many bird watchers\, spring migration is the most exciting time of the year. We will observe birds in their colorful breeding plumage\, listen to their songs\, and learn which are passing through on their way north and which will stay to nest right at Minute Man National Historical Park. We‚Äôll take a one-mile stroll through the park with bird expert Kathy Dia to see and hear some of these beautiful visitors as they court and fuel up for their journey north. \nRegistration is required as limited spots are available. Registration will open on April 27\, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.  \nThis event is co-sponsored by the Friends of Minute Man\, Minute Man National Historical Park\, and Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area Hidden Treasures. DESCRIPTION:  \nJoin Westford Conservation Trust birder Lenny Palmer for an early morning ramble at Westford‚Äôs birding ‚Äúhot spot‚Äù\, Emmet Conservation Land. We will search Nashoba/Kennedy Pond and wetland areas on Town and Mass Audubon conservation lands for returning migrants and nesting resident birds. Bring binoculars and wear sturdy shoes as land can be rocky and hilly in places. No dogs please.  \nPark in the Town parking lot at the end of Trailside Way off Powers Road.  \nWalk is free of charge and no sign-up is required. For more information\, contact Lenny at 978-392-9876
